A scientific field trip to IRALEX company in Sulaimania

A scientific field trip to the IRALEX company factory was organized by Komar University of Science and Technology for the Civil Engineering students under the supervision of Mr. Ahmed Mohamed Raouf on May 2nd, 2024.

The purpose of the trip was to introduce the students to local factories and manufacturing processes as part of their ongoing learning experience.   The students were given a tour of the factory’s two main production materials: sandwich panels and aluminum profiles. Each step of the production line for both materials was explained in great detail, with an emphasis on quality and the use of the most up-to-date equipment by the staff. The students gained valuable knowledge about the materials used for the sandwich panels and the process of aluminum extrusion from start to finish.

The students were kindly assisted by the company’s expert staff. Special thanks to Mr. Shwan for his hospitality and time.
